Mercedes-Benz GLS 350: Style and Room
In 2018, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 was unveiled and it was a big hit. In fact this Mercedes' calls this the most modern S-class in its SUV collection. Indeed, everything about it is made to offer maximum comfort and unbridled luxury for off-road driving.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 won a 2018 10Best Award in the Trucks and SUVs category – just as it did the year before. For the 2018 model they made a few adjustments. This is after the big overhaul with the 2017 version that had enhancements like front and rear fascias, better interiors and upgraded engine options. The 2018 model has more prestige and is a more advanced pedigree with an intelligent design that outdoes models in the same class.
Every detail of this car, which is a cross between a sports car, luxury saloon car, and SUV performs optimally. One key luxury is the stylish, spacious interiors. The car has three rows of seats that are very comfortable, making it great for long rides. There is the option to power fold the seats on the second row, which makes it easy to access the third row. The driver also have a number of steering column options: tilting, telescoping, and power-adjustable.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 is big but with its superior driving dynamics it is quite versatile. For instance, when it comes to acceleration, it is quick; it accelerates from zero to 60mph in just 5.7 seconds. This is better than the Land Rover HSE which takes 7.5 seconds and the Nissan Armada Platinum which takes 5.9 seconds to reach the same speed from zero. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 also has standard air suspension, its other features ensure a much smoother ride even on rougher roads. There is also the adaptive shocks that stiffen to protect against bumps when in Sport mode. This makes it ideal for off-road driving.
Mercedes is based in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. The company traces back to Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft's 1901 Mercedes and Karl Benz's 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, which is considered by most as the first gasoline-powered automobile. For this SUV the first generation model, the X164 was released between 2006 and 2012. In was replaced with the new generation GL-Class, the X166 in 2012. The GL-Class was given the new name of GLS-CLass in 2016 when the improved second-generation model was released.
