Update November 3rd, 2021. A follow up to my review. After posting my review I did receive a follow-up from Sixt and they credited my account for the overage charge. I truly appreciate your company doing the right thing. I have update my rating as I had no other issues with my rental.
If this review can assist someone else then I am happy I did it. When you rent a vehiçle and return it ensure that the customer service agent you give the keys to actually checks your car in. I had a prepaid rental for 1 day from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Miami Beach (5th Street) for 1 day. I picked up the vehicle at 9:30am Thursday and returned it back Friday at 9:05am as soon as they opened. I handed over the keys to the Sixth employee and I said I'm returning the vehicle. He said where is parked and I told him. He said Ok your good. (Mistake) When I received my credit card statement they charged me an extra $76 bucks. I tried to reach customer service ( good luck) to inform them I was over charged. I received an email back from Octavia that said I was charged because I returned the car back at 1:06pm.(4 hrs late). I emailed her back and stated that's inaccurate, I dropped the car off at 9:05am. I stated to her the person took my keys and said I was good. Of course he was on his phone. I received another email back from Luis R that they could not honor my request to have the charges reversed. I told them to go review your cameras for 9:05am on Thursday to verify what I was saying. Again he emailed me back and said my requested was denied. The moral of the story, when you hand your keys back in make sure you get a receipt right there because it seems like they are running a scam to add an extra day to people's account. If I turned the car in 4 hrs late like they said, don't you think I would have just kept the car for the remainder of the day. Sometimes common sense is lost but just be aware, it's a scam. This time it's on me because I trusted the employee but the customer service I receive after I filed a compliant was even worse.
