Does Billpay offer an installment payment?

Information about an installment or deferred payment can be obtained directly from Billpay. The Billpay staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have via e-mail at [email protected] or by telephone at +49 30 609893555.
 

I have problems using SIXT share with my EC card.

All EC card (SEPA) transactions are processed by our external partner Billpay GmbH. If your EC card is rejected, SIXT share Customer Serive will unfortunately not be able to help you. In such cases, please use the following contact form to contact our Billpay colleagues directly. If you have any questions about your customer profile at Billpay (e.g. open invoices, credit lines, etc.) or possible payment by installments, please also contact our colleagues at [email protected] or by telephone at +49 30 609893555.

Our tip: You can also use a personal credit card as an alternative form of payment.

Why does Billpay not accept my payment details?

Invoice

My account was debited even before the trip. What is this?

Before you start your rental, we reserve the expected invoice amount plus a security deposit. If you use the minute rate, the amount is up to €25. If you use a package, the amount is the actual price for the selected package, which is displayed in the app at the time of booking. Should the invoice amount increase due to additional services or longer use, a new security deposit will be requested on your credit card. A rental is only possible if the requested security deposit amount can been approved. We automatically release the reserved amount. The final release depends on your bank and may take a few days. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this.

Is there collective billing?

At the moment we do not offer collective billing.

Can the means of payment on an invoice be changed later?

Unfortunately it is not possible for us to change your means of payment after a journey. At the beginning of the journey we use the existing means of payment for the account. We can therefore not consider your new payment data. You can change your means of payment for future trips quickly and easily in our app. Select "Account" at the bottom right. You will then find an overview of your payment data under your booking profiles.

Which invoices do I have open at Billpay GmbH?

How do I change the billing address on the invoice?

Quickly and easily create another booking profile in the SIXT app. You can then select the desired profile before making the reservation and the billing address will be accepted. Our customer service agents will be happy to change the billing address for you at a later date.

Where can I find my invoices?

We will send the invoice to the email address provided immediately after your journey. You are welcome to access it again in the SIXT app under "My booking".

Is there a deposit?

At the beginning of the rental period, a deposit is blocked at the customer's financial institution as a guarantee. The amount of the deposit depends on the expected amount of the rent. If no expected rental price is fixed at the beginning of the rental period, the deposit amounts to up to 25.00 EUR. When booking a package, the amount corresponds to the applicable price for the selected package, which is displayed in the app at the time of booking.

Payment

I have problems using SIXT share with my credit card.

You cannot register your credit card?

When you register a new credit card in your customer account, the system checks the means of payment. The credit card will be rejected by our system if this check fails. In this case, please contact your credit card company.


Reservation of a vehicle is not possible?

Before you start, we reserve the expected invoice amount plus a security deposit on your credit card. This request is made for each booking made. If you use the minute rate, the amount is up to €25. If you use a package, the amount is the applicable price for the selected package, which is shown to you in the app at the time of booking. A rental is only possible if the amount has been approved. If it is not possible to block the security amount on your credit card, the credit card will be rejected by our system. In such cases, please contact your credit card company.

I can't add my credit card. Why is that?

If you add a credit card, we will verify it and reserve a security deposit of € 0.01. This provides mutual security for both parties. The credit card will be saved once the requested security amount has been confirmed. Currently the amount cannot be blocked. Your credit card company will be happy to assist you.

Which bank cards are accepted?

You can use all standard German bank debit cards as means of payment. Please note, that direct debit (SEPA) is only accepted for SIXT share in Germany. Should you like to use SIXT share in other countries, you will need to provide a valid credit card. 

What payment methods are there?

You can pay by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB) or by direct debit (SEPA) (Direct debit only available in Germany). 

What is PSD2?

The PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) is an EU directive for the regulation of payment services and payment service providers. PSD2 simply explained: As of 14.09.2019, a two-stage verification process helps the customer with secure payment on the Internet. A single password will no longer be sufficient. Recently, you have required two or more factors from different categories for payment or other "activities with a risk of fraud". For example, a combination of password and fingerprint is possible, or a PIN that is linked to a smartphone. But PIN and TAN are also a valid combination. In the payment process on our website or in the SIXT app, from 14.09.2019 on, it may happen that a further step is added in which the bank secures your identity. Verification is simply integrated into the payment process.
