What should I do if my SIXT rental car has been impounded?

Damage, accidents and theft

Contact SIXT Roadside Assistance immediately and provide the address and phone number of the impound lot where your rental car is being held. We will arrange collection and, depending on the circumstances, a replacement vehicle once the car is back with us.

Can I collect the car myself?

No — collection is arranged directly by SIXT to ensure all procedures and paperwork are handled correctly.

Replacement vehicle

  • A replacement vehicle may be available depending on the circumstances, location and availability

  • Fines, towing and storage fees are generally the responsibility of the renter
