I was asked to add a trusted device in the SIXT app. Why should I do this?
This measure is for your security and is intended to protect you and your account from fraud. Once you have added a trusted device, your data (personal contact details, stored payment methods) will even be twice protected because before your SIXT share ride, our system will check in the future that you want to start your ride from your verified device in addition to the PIN code. If the system does not recognize your device and/or you do not add it, the rental cannot be initiated. The SIXT app will guide you through the process of adding a trusted device.
I was asked to verify my phone number in the SIXT app. Why should I do this?
The security of your data and your account is important to us, which is why we have developed appropriate measures to protect you from fraud. Please verify your phone number to ensure that your data (personal contact details, stored payment methods) are best protected. The verification is very easy and takes less than a minute. If you are asked to verify, please provide your current mobile phone number that you use on the device on which you also use the SIXT app. You will immediately receive an SMS with a code and then have one minute to enter this code in the app. If you need more time, simply request a new code. If you want to change your phone number later in your profile, you will be asked to verify it again.
