When does the rental begin? The rental begins with the click on ""Open"" in the SIXT app. From this point on, the currently valid per-minute or package price will be charged, plus any costs for an extended reservation. Please check the vehicle for any damage in advance and report it via the SIXT app. How long can I rent the vehicle for? SIXT share vehicles can be rented for up to 27 days, inclusive. How long can I reserve a vehicle for? The vehicle can be reserved for 15 minutes for free through the app. A longer reservation is possible for a fee, up to a maximum of 12 hours. If the rental is not started before the end of the reservation, the vehicle will be made available again to all users. Tip for early birds: the reservation is free of charge from Sunday to Thursday, each time from 10 PM to 6 AM the following day. Ending a trip is only possible within the rental country, either within the service area of a SIXT share city or by returning the vehicle to a SIXT station. When ending your rental within a service area, always ensure that you park the vehicle in authorized locations on public streets in accordance with traffic regulations, and do so properly for the next 48 hours. When ending your rental at a SIXT station, we recommend that you check the return address of the desired station in advance. Follow the Car Return signs upon return. In the Car Return area of the SIXT station, take the vehicle key from the glove compartment, end the rental as usual with the app, and then lock the vehicle using the key. Please deposit the vehicle key in the key safe or hand it over at the SIXT counter.
