Damages

How do I report new damages? In the SIXT app, you can see all the damages of a vehicle that have already been reported at a glance. After reserving the vehicle, click on ""Damages"" to view them. Have you discovered a new damage? In any case, report it through the damage report in the app. In addition, always inform the police, regardless of whether the damage was caused by someone else or yourself. As the renter, you are obliged to take all reasonable measures to minimize damage and secure evidence. Please familiarize yourself with our terms and conditions (link to https://www.sixt.de/pages/agb/) for the correct procedure regarding new damages. What happens after reporting a new damage? If a customer discovers a previously unreported damage when taking over one of our vehicles, we will record it. Our claims department contacts the previous renters to reconstruct and clarify the course of the damage.
