I'm having problems using SIXT share with my credit card. You're unable to add your credit card? When you add a new credit card to your customer account, our system performs a security check on the payment method. If this check fails, your credit card will be declined by our system. In this case, please contact the staff of your credit card institution. You cannot make a vehicle reservation? Before you start your rental, we reserve the expected rental amount plus a deposit on your credit card. This request is made for each booking. The deposit amount is at least €30 and is based on the expected rental price. If the expected rental price is not known at the start of the rental (e.g. if you've chosen the per-minute rate), the deposit will be at least €30. If you book a package, the deposit amount will be the current price of the chosen package displayed in the app when you book it, plus a buffer amount as a security deposit in case you use the vehicle for longer than anticipated or add additional services during the rental. You can only rent a vehicle if the amount has been confirmed. Currently, the security deposit cannot be blocked on your credit card. In the event of a declined transaction or reservation request, please contact the staff of your credit card institution. The security amounts will not be released We automatically release the reserved amounts after the rental payment is settled. The final release of funds depends on the issuing bank of the credit card and may take a few days. Unfortunately, we have no control over this.
