Business Area

How do I recognize the operating area? In the SIXT app, the respective operating area is marked by a red boundary line, which is displayed when you click on a SIXT share vehicle. Ending the rental period outside this boundary is not possible. You can also find the map with the operating area on the respective city page on this website. Please note that the operating areas of the different products are different, and you can display them by clicking on the respective product. What do the red areas on the map mean? The red areas do NOT belong to the SIXT share operating area. Please return the vehicle to an appropriate location within the operating area if you wish to end the rental period. We will always show you whether your destination is within the operating area in the app. What should I pay attention to when driving to another operating area? With SIXT share, you have the possibility to drive from one operating area to another within the rental country. Please make sure to park the vehicle properly in permitted locations in public streets in accordance with the road traffic regulations for the next 48 hours when ending the rental period. Please note that additional fees apply when ending the rental period in a different operating area, which you can find in our tariff overview. How does vehicle return at a SIXT station work? With SIXT share, you have the possibility to return your car-sharing vehicle to a SIXT station within the rental country. When returning the vehicle to a SIXT station, we recommend that you inform yourself in advance about the return address of the desired station. Follow the Car Return signage. In the Car Return area of the SIXT station, take the vehicle key from the glove compartment, end the rental period as usual with the app, and then lock the vehicle with the vehicle key. Please throw the vehicle key in the key safe or hand it over to the SIXT counter. Additional fees apply when returning the vehicle to a SIXT station, which can be found in our tariff overview (Link to https://www.sixt.com/share/rates/).
