What Is SIXT ONE?
SIXT ONE is a free rewards program that gives you something back every time you rent. Whether you’re hitting the road for business or leisure, every qualifying rental earns you points — and points mean savings on future bookings.

SIXT ONE is built around two parallel point systems that work together: the status points, that tracks your loyalty over time (and unlocks better perks the more you rent), and the rental points, that gives you a direct, spendable reward from day one.
How Points Work
Understanding how SIXT ONE works comes down to knowing the difference between its two point types — because they do very different jobs.
Status points are your progress tracker. They accumulate across a calendar year and determine which membership tier you’re in. You can’t redeem them for anything directly, but they’re the key to unlocking better perks, faster earning, and a more premium experience overall.
Rental points are your reward. Every qualifying rental adds them to your balance, and when you’re ready, you can apply them as a discount on future booking. They work a bit like cashback — quietly building in the background until you decide to use them.
Both types are calculated based on your spending on the base rental rate (excluding taxes, fees, and additional charges), converted to euros at the exchange rate on your invoice date.

From your very first booking after enrolling, you unlock member-only rates that aren’t available to non-members (up to 8% off), you starting earning points for future savings and, at eligible locations, the ability to skip the counter entirely.
Gold kicks in at 2,000 status points and brings a 10% boost to your rental point earnings, along with up to 10% off with member rates, besides all the other benefits members silver members already had.
Platinum and Diamond build further on that foundation, with accelerated earning rates of +20% and +30% respectively, increasingly exclusive perks, such as the possibility of getting free upgrades and even higher member rates (up to 15% and 20%, respectively), which makes the rental experience feel genuinely elevated.
One thing worth knowing: your status doesn’t disappear on January 1st. If you reach a tier mid-year, you keep it through the end of the following year — so there’s a meaningful window to enjoy the benefits you’ve earned.
How to fast track to a higher tier? Status Match!
Already hold elite status with another car rental company, airline, hotel program, or credit card? You may be able to match that status directly into SIXT ONE — without having to earn your way up from Silver.
The process is straightforward: fill out the SIXT Status Match Registration Form, upload proof of your current status, and you’ll receive confirmation within around two weeks. It’s a practical option for travelers already embedded in other loyalty ecosystems who want their SIXT experience to reflect that from the start.

How to Earn and Redeem Points
You can earn points by completing a qualifying rental. Both your status and rental points are credited to your account within a few days of your invoice being generated.
When it comes to redeeming, the process is just as simple. During the booking flow on sixt.com or in the SIXT app, you’ll see your available rental points on the review page before you confirm. Choose how many to apply, and that amount comes off your total.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Rental points cannot be combined with vouchers
- They don’t apply to business or truck rentals
- Rental points expire at the end of the calendar year in which they’re earned
Skip the Counter
Ask any road warrior what they’d change about renting a car, and the answer is almost always the same: the wait at the counter. After a long flight, the last thing you want is to queue at a desk, go through the same questions you’ve answered a dozen times, and finally — finally — get handed your keys.
