The SIXT location I am due to return my rental vehicle to is closed. Can I return my rental vehicle to another SIXT location?
To return your vehicle at a different SIXT location, please contact our Customer Service team via email at reservations-usa@sixt.com or by calling 1 (888) 749-8227. Our team will direct you to the nearest location where you can safely return. The one-way fee will be temporarily waived for customers who were originally scheduled to return their rental vehicle to a SIXT location that has been closed due to the weather. Such a waiver will only apply to returns due during the time of closure and made at an alternative SIXT location indicated by our Customer Service team.
I prepaid for my rental and my flight has now been canceled or the SIXT branch is closed due to the weather. Can I get a refund?
You may cancel your reservation online via sixt.com/service. Please note the prepaid cancellation fee will be incurred, but a SIXT team member will review each cancellation and we will process a refund if the cancellation was directly related to the storm and closure of the branch.
Please note: If you made your reservation through a third party, please contact them directly for their policy about changes or cancellations.
Will I be charged for returning my rental vehicle without a full tank of gas if the gas stations are closed?
Customers who do not add SIXT’s optional refueling packages to their rental agreement upon pick up will be charged the current average fueling rate for the location instead of the SIXT standard refueling fees.
