You can redeem a SIXT Share voucher code directly in the SIXT app — either when selecting a car or through your profile menu.
How to redeem your voucher code
- Open the "SIXT Share" tab in the SIXT app and select a car on the map.
- Open the vehicle details menu.
- Tap the "+ Add voucher" field and enter your voucher code.
Alternatively, tap the person icon in the upper right corner and go to "Vouchers" to enter your code there.
A few things to know
- You can save multiple SIXT Share vouchers in the app at once.
- Activate your voucher before starting your trip or when reserving a vehicle — only one voucher can be used per trip.
- Unused voucher balances expire and cannot carry over to a future trip.
Are SIXT Share vouchers valid internationally?
No. SIXT Share vouchers can only be redeemed in the country where they were issued. In the app, only vouchers valid for your current rental country are available for selection — others appear grayed out.
Can I earn a voucher by refueling or recharging a SIXT Share vehicle?
Yes. As a thank-you for refueling or recharging one of our vehicles, you'll receive a voucher to use on a future trip.
How the voucher amount is calculated
- Germany: €1 for every 10% increase in fuel or battery level.
- Netherlands: €1 for every 20% increase in battery level.
The difference is measured between the fuel or battery level at the start and end of your rental. The voucher is issued automatically after the rental ends, provided the difference is at least 10%. Percentages are always rounded down.
For electric vehicles: If you end the rental after a charging session has begun, the difference is calculated between the battery level at the start of the rental and 100%.
Calculation examples
Germany: Battery at start: 36% / Battery at end: 100%. Difference: 64%, rounded down to 60%. Voucher value: €6.
Netherlands: Battery at start: 36% / Battery at end: 100%. Difference: 64%, rounded down to 60%. Voucher value: €3.

Why didn't I receive a voucher after refueling or recharging?
A voucher is only issued when the fuel or battery level is at least 10% higher at the end of your rental than at the start. If the difference is less than 10%, no voucher is issued.
