Adding a trusted device
When you add a trusted device, your account gets a second layer of protection. Before you start a SIXT share ride, the system checks that you are using your verified device and your PIN. If your device is not recognized or you skip this step, the rental cannot be started. The SIXT app walks you through the process.
Verifying your phone number
Phone number verification keeps your personal contact details and stored payment methods secure. Here is how it works:
- When prompted, enter the mobile phone number you use on the device where you have the SIXT app installed.
- You will receive an SMS with a verification code straight away.
- Enter the code in the app within one minute. If you need more time, request a new code.
If you ever update your phone number in your profile, you will be asked to verify the new number at that point.
