SEPA direct debit is accepted for SIXT share in Germany and the Netherlands — standard German and Dutch debit cards both qualify. For trips with SIXT mobility partners, a credit card is required instead.
Which debit cards are accepted?
- Germany: all standard German debit cards (EC cards)
- Netherlands: all standard Dutch debit cards
SEPA direct debit is only available for SIXT share in these two countries. Mobility partner trips require a credit card.
Can I set up installment payments with SEPA direct debit?
All EC card (SEPA) transactions are handled by our payment partner Riverty. For installment payments or payment deferrals, contact Riverty directly:
My EC card was declined — what should I do?
If your EC card is declined, the SIXT share customer service team is unable to assist with this directly. Please contact Riverty, who can also help with questions about your customer profile, open invoices, credit limits, and installment options.
Tip: You can also add a personal credit card to your account as an alternative payment method.
