To use SIXT Share, you must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, have the latest version of the SIXT app, and have completed registration with SIXT activation.
Requirements checklist
Minimum age: 18 years (21 years applies to certain vehicle categories)
Driver's license: Valid license covering both manual and automatic transmission — provisional licenses are not accepted
License history: At least 2 years of driving experience is required for certain vehicles
SIXT app: Latest version installed on your device
Registration: Completed in the app and activated by SIXT
What if my driver's license or ID has expired?
Your documents must be valid to use SIXT Share. If a document expires, we may temporarily deactivate your account. To get back on the road, upload your updated document through the SIXT app — we'll reactivate your account once it's verified.
