Your Guide to Car Rental Protection (US)

Supplemental Liability Insurance is an optional product that provides the renter and authorized additional drivers with up to $1 million as third-party liability protection for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained in the result of an accident when operating the rental vehicle.

The Loss Damage Waiver minimizes the financial responsibility for the rental vehicle for damage or loss. If the Loss Damage Waiver is not accepted, the renter will be held responsible for up to the full value of the vehicle.

The Partial Damage Waiver is available in select states and waives the renter's financial responsibility for damage for the first $500 for the rental vehicle.

Business Travel Protection is an included benefit for select corporate accounts and provides the renter with particular liability limits for bodily injury and property damage during the rental. A customer can increase the liability coverage by adding our optional Supplemental Liability Insurance product. Please contact our Corporate Sales department for more information.

Roadside Assistance Protection is optional and will provide assistance at no added cost for non-covered roadside emergencies such as replacement of lost keys or key fobs, key lockout service, flat tire service, jump starts and empty fuel tank issues. Personal Accident Insurance provides monetary compensation for accidental death and medical expenses of the renter and passengers during the rental. Benefits are supplemental to any medical benefits the customer may already have and there are some exclusions.

Provides international renters with valid non-US passports with monetary compensation for medical expenses related to certain illnesses during the rental period for a maximum of 30 days. Not available in the states of Georgia, New York, and Colorado.
