SIXT was amazing, and Niya at BWI was incredibly helpful, considerate and professional, quickly helping us out of a jam. So, yes, I will ONLY USE SIXT from now on. And thank you to Niya for being so wonderful for us. So, you ask, what was the 'jam' we were in? We are here for our son's wedding. Had booked a vehicle (as a 'Blue Chip' member, no less) of THRIFTY car rental, booking it online well in advance, indicating class of vehicle/size, specific pickup time, etc... only for us to arrive at BWI (after an exhausting journey) to find that THRIFTY HAD NO CAR FOR US, OR FOR ANY OF THEIR RESERVATIONS. Why? No answer. No apology. And we weren't the only ones they screwed over, by far. After quickly hurrying to a couple other rental counters randomly to see what might be available as a last-minute rental—if any of them even had any cars left—I come to find from each other counter that this is a daily occurrence at THRIFTY. Clearly, THRIFTY DOES NOT CARE. They overbook at BWI to ensure they make the most $$$ possible, your concerns, needs or satisfaction be damned. No car? Your tough luck, says THRIFTY.
So they can bite it. I'll make it a point to tell everyone how awful this experience was, and conversely, how AMAZING SIXT WAS. From now on, they're the only car rental company to get my business. Thank you again, Niya!
