Experience Lyon and the Rhone-Alpes Region

Lyon is the third largest city in France and draws in many visitors every year for its cultural, historical and gastronomical offerings. Originally founded by the Romans, Lyon has become a UNESCO listed city with its many preserved historical sites. Old Lyon, near the right bank of the Saone river, has one of the largest Renaissance areas in Europe. The lively district of Presqu'ile offers shops, clubs and restaurants where you can sample the authentic 'salad lyonnaise' and French pastries, and the Fourvière basilica and its hilltop views should not be missed. A rental car also offers you the opportunity to travel outside the city and make a road trip to see vineyards, lakes and any of the eight national parks in the Rhone-Alpes region. Let Sixt help you have a comfortable trip with a top quality car rental from Lyon St. Exupéry Airport!

Rented few times at this location and staff are always great for pick up and drop off. Overall an hassle free place to rent a car.

Once the car wasn’t ready but the gentleman who is in charge of getting the car cleaned and ready rushed it so I did not have to wait to much and within 10mn the car was ready and I was hitting the road. Much appreciated!

Excellent service from the front desk and speedy car retrieval. The agent even programmed the vehicle GPS to English not French, a service I never got anywhere.

As I said, it was good to be back in France after few years to such a wonderful start.

It was smooth and nice experience. I like driving with sixt. Booked the car on the app, got a fair rate, the location is in the parkings of the airport, accessible with free shuttle bus. Nice and polite staff. I have chosen a BMW z4. I highly recommend it hor this region. Driving a soft top car in the autumn sun through the country. Uh. Magic.
