What to see in Ostrava

Located close to the Polish border, Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic.

It has a long and varied history and there are a number of interesting sights for tourists to visit.

A good place to start is the New City Hall Viewing Tower. This Tower stands 70m tall and gives a great view of the whole city.
Zoo Ostrava is another popular attraction which offers something for the whole family.
A little further afield and best reached by car is the Landek Park Mining Museum. This museum gives a fascinating insight into the lives of miners during a time when the city's main export was coal.
