If hailing from abroad there are a few rules and regulations to be aware of before booking an airport car rental in the US. Please make note of the following:
- All drivers with a non-US driver's license must produce a valid passport or a valid government-issued ID card as a secondary form of ID at the time of pickup.
- German customers need to provide a class D1 driver’s license when renting from vehicle groups FVAR and PVAR. Those holding a driver’s license from other EU countries are only allowed to drive vehicles up to 8 seats.
- Driver's license printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be complemented by an International Driving Permit. For those holding driver's licenses from countries not part of the international driver's license treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
- International drivers can rent with a debit card, as long as the vehicle isn't a cpeciality car. Find out more about our Payment Methods.
