• 09.02.2012- Carnival in Barcelona

  Are you ready to celebrate the Carnival 2012 in Barcelona, also know as the party of Carnestolendas? Normally the carnival starts the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. In Barcelona, it will start onThursday, 16th of February, with the Gras Dijous, a street party where it tradition is to eat as much as you can. Taking into account the fact that the end of carnival symbolizes the beginning of thefast period, known as Lent. Therefore, it is the last opportunity for the Catholics to celebrate and enjoy the pleasures of life. • 30.12.2011- New Year's Eve in Barcelona

  Now that one celebration has passed, the next opportunity to celebrate is getting closer already: New Year's Eve! In Barcelona it is a tradition to have dinner with family and friends. At midnight youshould not expect great fireworks, but have 12 grapes and sparkling wine around instead. The Spanish celebrate the countdown until midnight eating one grape with every bell -stroke, only watching itis really funny already. • 27.10.2011- Scenes of Goethe's "Faust%u201C in Liceu Theatre

  From 27th to 29th October 2011 fans of the German culture get the unique opportunity to enjoy a play in Barcelona. They will perform scenes of Goethe's "Faust%u201C, composed by the famous Robert Schu in the Liceu Theatre. He combined the first and the second part of "Faust%u201C in his masterpiece and offers with that a perfect completion to Ch. Gounods opera "Faust%u201C and a danced version ofCarlo Ballet. Since 1862, the year of the première, the audience has been enthralled by the overture, Gretchen's prayer, the death of Faust and the %u201CChorus Mysticus" is the highlight. • 28.09.2011- Sagrada Familia

  The Sagrada Familia is the landmark of Barcelona and moreover the life work of Gaudí.Unfortunately, it was not granted to him to complete his masterpiece and until now there was never an end in sight. • 05.05.2011- Barca has reached the UEFA Champions League Final 2011
