Vehicle Travel Permissions
Most vehicles (economy, compact, intermediate, standard, and full-size cars) can travel throughout Zones 1, 2, and 3.
Premium vehicles, luxury cars, vans, and trucks can travel to Zones 1 and 2.
Ultra-luxury vehicles, specialty cars, and sports cars are authorized for Zone 1 only.
Important: Travel to Zone 4 countries is not permitted. Vehicles cannot be transported to Spanish islands, Ceuta, or Melilla without written authorization. Premium vehicle makes (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover, and Mini) are restricted to Zone 1 countries only. Ferry and rail transport is permitted within zone restrictions.

One-Way Rental Rules and Restrictions
Due to insurance regulations and costs for returning vehicles, sometimes there are fees or restrictions with one-way car rental. However, at SIXT we will always let you know while booking if there are any fees or other charges. The one-way fee within the same country or across borders always depends on the destination and vehicle. Simply enter your desired pick-up and drop-off locations in the booking engine at the top of the page and if a one-way rental between the two stations is not possible, you will be notified with a pop-up message. The one-way rental fee (if any) will be added to the total amount payable at the end of the process. For unplanned one-way rentals, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee.
