  The Wilanów Palace Museum in Warsaw is the former home of King Jan III Sobieski. Successive owners of the palace, originally constructed and furnished as a royal residence, included not only the most prominent aristocratic families but also another Polish monarch%u2014Augustus II Wettin.
  
  One of the owners throughout the years, Stanis%u0142aw Kostka Potocki, created a museum in the palace in 1805.An exhibition now running on at the museum, entitled Wilanów Collection. Continuation 1993-2011, is the result of 19 years of efforts to expand the collection by adding works of art associated with the history of Wilanów Palace and its occupants: paintings, drawings, prints and objects of daily use. The most interesting items added to the collection between 1993 and 2011 include a portrait of Jan III Sobieski in a leopard skin, attributed to one of his court painters, and portraits of his sons Konstanty and Aleksander, painted in France.
  
  Also on display are objects which testify to the legendary renown of King Jan III Sobieski, a legend nurtured by successive owners of the palace. These include a medal commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Vienna, in which anti-Turkish coalition forces led by the Polish monarch in 1683 defeated the Turkish army besieging the capital of the Habsburgs.
  
  Of special interest are items from Potocki%u2019s original collection which were lost but later recovered. Among them is the painting Apollo and Two Muses by Pompeo Girolamo Batoni. Bought by Potocki around 1821, the painting was found after World War II in Pavlovsk, near St. Petersburg, Russia. The painting returned to Wilanów in 1997.

  Fornalik takes over
  
  Waldemar Fornalik was finally confirmed as Poland's new manager, after Franciszek Smuda's contract was not renewed. The young manager withstood a late challenge from former Poland boss Jerzy Engel, to take the vote convincingly at the Polish FA (PZPN) board meeting this Tuesday.
  
  Fornalik had been the media favourite, having led Ruch Chorzow to second place in the league last season and the Polish Cup final playing an attractive passing game. "On the one hand it is a real honour, on the other, an enormous responsibility. I realise the expectations surrounding the team. I will do my best to make things happen." Fornalik told reporters.
  
  There is a group of players here who did well in the Euros. We will have to look at other players, too, but I do not see a need for a revolution. We have to build on the squad we have got, and I want to stress that nobody has been excluded from my plans - he continued, raising the hopes of players such as Artur Boruc and Slawomir Peszko, who were dumped by the disciplinarian Smuda for drink related indiscretions.
  
  Fornalik, though, faces numerous problems off the pitch, where he is clearly not in control. First there is the matter of his assistants. Fornalik has submitted a list of his preferred coaches, Jerzy Dudek, Krzysztof Warzycha and Marek Wlecialowski, and is waiting to see who the PZPN chooses.
  
  One problem with his choices is that they are all from Fornalik's region, Slask. He is laying himself open to accusations that he's favouring Slask - commented one PZPN board member.
  
  Then, beyond the matter of who he works with, lies the thornier issue of who will head the PZPN in the coming years. Lato announced he would stand for re-election last week, to general dismay. Meanwhile, new candidates from outside PZPN structures are stepping forward.
  
  Ryszard Czarnecki of Law and Justice (PiS) has decided to stand, and has promised to work for free if elected. "It will be a clear signal that I am not going there for the cash, but to improve Polish football. That I am not treating it like a lemon, squeezing it." Czarnecki announced.
  
  Also from the political right, from Solidarna Polska, Mieczyslaw Golba declared his willingness to clean up Polish football. He declared that the old guard should be afraid and suggested he might even disband the PZPN if elected, because, "These gentlemen think only about business and not training youths."

  New airport in Warsaw - Modlin

  Hotel Renaissance
  
  At the Chopin Airport is being built five-star hotel Renaissance. The whole area is under construction from September 2011 and it will take at least 20 months. The hotel will be open in middle of 2013. Hotel will have 16 756 m2 of floor space with a capacity of 225 rooms, five meeting rooms, restaurant and bar. You will also find a pool, fitness center and spa. The building will support the construction on car park P2, and its main entrance will be located at an altitude flyover leading to the departure hall. For this reason, from the 5 of September, multi-storey car park is closed.

  Opening of the National Stadium
  
  The National Stadium in Warsaw is the biggest Polish arena for the European Football Championships in 2012. The official opening was on 29th of January, however before there were no other sport events organized. The building works started in September 2008 and the investment cost 1.752 milliard PLN.
  
  On the 29th of February the football game between Polish and Portuguese national teams really opened the new National Stadium in Warsaw, with the audience of more than 50.000 people including the Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk.

There were a lot of the best MMA players from all over the world, i.e. Jan Blachowicz, Karol Bedorf, Curt Warburton, Mario Miranda or Valentijn Overeem.
