Driving Licence Requirements You and all approved drivers must be in possession of a full, valid driving licence for at least one year. Furthermore, the following conditions apply depending on the issuing country of the driving licence. EU Driving Licences Valid driving licences of all other EU countries are accepted All Other Licences Driving Licences printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, and Cyrillic) must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit.
Sixt supports Chinese customers with the necessary translations via Sixt WeChat Account or via following link: Link. This or any other kind of valid translation of the driving license can only be accepted if accompanied by the original driving license.
Please show a valid driver's license and ID card/ passport at time of pick up!
Photocopies, digital licenses, Learner's Permits, and driver's licenses with driving restrictions will not be accepted.
In Peru, the following rules apply for the minimum age and possession of a driver's license:

A Young Driver Surcharge applies for drivers under 25 years.
A surcharge of 20.00 USD per day applies for drivers above 75 years (for car all groups).
The following credit cards are accepted: all credit cards from internationally recognised credit card companies - such as American Express, Diners Card, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa. We do not accept any prepaid cards or debit cards (Visa Electron). The renter must be the owner of the indicated credit card.
Sixt Cards All Sixt Cards, such as Sixt Express, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Unlimited and Corporate cards are only accepted in combination with a valid Credit Card and valid documents.
Please note, that payments with credit card may require the PIN of the credit card.
An advance charge approval is obtained for the chosen means of payment as a security. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount is dependent on the vehicle.

Changing Booking A prepaid booking can be changed up to 48 hours before the start of the rental (depending on availability) in return for a booking modification fee of 5,00 USD. Any payment already made towards the rental will not be refunded; nor shall any differential amount be refunded if this modification leads to a lesser rental cost. Any changes made to a prepaid reservation may impact the rental rate. A change from a prepaid rate to a non-prepaid rate is not possible.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation, you must report 48 hours in advance and the maximum charge of 3 days of rent will be withheld (including daily payments for extras purchased in the reservation) and the cost of the following days of the duration of the reservation will be refunded. In case the client does not report the cancellation 48 hours in advance, he will be charged 100% of the prepaid reservation. Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of booking can be completed free of charge, provided the scheduled pick-up time is more than 48 hours away.
No-show In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected or not collected at the agreed time the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.
None of the below mentioned protections includes a road assistance service. All transfer costs of any damaged rented vehicle as a result of an accident or driver behaviour have to be assumed by the renter.
Protection coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a maximum cover of 3,000.00 USD for material damages and personal injuries.
The customer is only responsible for the following amounts: 600.00 USD.
Excluded from the protection is the use of the vehicle for the transport of dangerous goods. All protection as part of the rental contract will become void, in particular, if an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the driver of the vehicle does not possess the required driver's license at the time of the event giving rise to claim.
If purchased, Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) protects you against claims made by a third party for -bodily injury- and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while you are operating a -rental vehicle-.
If SLI is accepted, the customer is only responsible for the following amounts: USD 0.00 (for this insurance).
By taking out SLI the maximum cover is: USD 500,000.00
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a -rental vehicle-. SLI does not cover all risks. There may be exclusions for unauthorized or intoxicated drivers, no first party uninsured motorist coverage, no coverage for certain passengers in the Vehicle, and other exclusions.
Loss damage waiver (incl. theft protection) removes the drivers responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of damage or theft.
If LDW is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: 2,000.00 USD (for this protection)
If LDW is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of the car.
If LDW is already included in the rates, the renter can choose Loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with reduced excess to reduce the Non-Waiverable Responsibility.
If loss damage waiver (incl. theft protection) with reduced excess is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: USD 500.00
Loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with reduced excess is bookable at the rental station as a part of a package.
If LDW is already included in the rates, the renter can choose Loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess to eliminate the Non-Waiverable Responsibility.
If Loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: USD 0.00
Loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess is bookable at the rental station as a part of a package.
By taking out personal accident protection the coverage can also be extended to cover the consequences of an accident.
By taking out PAP the limit of liability is: USD 40,000 in case of death or permanent disability, USD 8,000 for medical costs, USD 2,000 funeral expenses.
The tire and glass coverage provides protection for damages on tires and windscreen with a deductible of USD 0.00.
If the protection is not accepted, the customer will be held liable for the full extent of the damage.
The roadside protection is an extended breakdown protection during the rental and protects you at home against high service and repair costs for the following incidents caused by you: key locked in vehicle, breaking caused by lack of fuel, assistance with starting necessitated by flat battery, loss of key and vehicle stuck.
Usually all one-way rentals within Sixt locations are allowed. Additional fees may apply. In the case of unannounced and unauthorized one-way rentals, especially for economy and compact categories, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee or the invalidity of all the protections. International one-way rentals are not allowed.
Cross Border Rentals are not allowed. In general the rental vehicle may only be used in the country of pick-up. Vehicles of the categories Economy and Compact can only be driven in the province where they were rented, as well as in the adjacent provinces.

In case of offence, all protections lose their validity and charge per Km will apply.
Accessories are bookable without obligation and subject to availability.
Wi-Fi is available subject to a fee.
A charge is levied for the additional driver, whose details are noted in the lease only if the additional driver presents a valid driver's license.
Baby seats and child seats are available subject to a fee.
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to Sixt, otherwise the current prices per litre of petrol or diesel will be charged in addition to a refuelling fee.
If desired, the vehicle will be refuled according to currently available conditions after returning it to the station.
Deliveries and collections are available at the local rental station subject to a fee.
Out of opening hours service is available at selected stations. In this case, an additional charge applies for the provision of the service.

The renter is obliged to report the vehicle back to SIXT at the end of the rental period.
The extra spare wheel and the Pickup bed cover are bookable at the rental station.
A premium location fee occurs for rentals at airport and train stations.
Out of opening hours service is available at selected stations. In this case, an additional charge applies for the provision of the service.
A Lost of Key Fee applies depending on the type of the key.
The renter is liable for payment of all traffic/parking fines occurring during the rental.
If the renter has a traffic/parking fine during the rental the renter will be charged an Administration Fee together with the first settlement-proposition.
In case the car requires a special cleaning procedure (i.e. smell removal, animal pollution, spill of liquids etc.) after returning, a cleaning charge will apply.
Plans can change. As a flexible mobility partner, we are happy to adapt to your plans. Thanks to our Flexi Return guarantee, you have the freedom to return the vehicle at any time to an authorised Sixt station, regardless of the rental agreement. If your plans change during your hire period, let us know by telephone on +51 1 4443050 / +51 9 81076497 or in person at any of our stations, and our employees will amend your rental contract. By doing this, we can adapt to your changed plans. This service is, of course, free of charge for you.
If you return your vehicle earlier than agreed in the rental contract, we will charge the rental price according to the rental contract. You will receive a partial discount for the unused rental days.
When booking at a prepaid rate, a refund shall not be issued for returned early. For further information please refer to the section Prepaid Tariff - Pay now.
If you return the vehicle later, without notifying us, we will bill you USD 11.80 service fee for the Flexi Return Service. This fee applies in addition to any extra days which might incur due to the rental extension.
If you return the vehicle to a station other than that agreed in the rental contract, the Flexi Return location will incur a service fee of USD 18.88 if we have not been informed of the changes to the rental contract in advance. With our Flexi Return guarantee, you will always have maximum flexibility and cost-efficiency when driving.
