Rental Information

All cars within the Sixt Nigerian fleet are driver driven. Time are noted from garage (starting point of driver) to garage (arrival point of driver).

One rental day is defined from 7 a.m till 6 p.m. The maximum work time for the driver is 10 hours per day. In case of overtime and during night hours from 06 p.m. till 12 a.m. 5.00 USD per hour, from 12 a.m. till 7 a.m. 8.00 USD per hour will be charged extra for the driver service.

A reservation can be made 48 hrs before the rental begins.

In Nigeria, the following rules apply for the minimum age and possession of a driver's license:

The following credit cards are accepted: all credit cards from internationally recognised credit card companies - such as American Express, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa. The renter must be the owner of the indicated credit card.

We accept all prepaid cards or debit cards - such as Master Card Prepaid Debit Card, Verve, Interswitch and E-Tranzact.

Cash Payment is accepted.

Please note, that payments with credit card may require the PIN of the credit card.

An advance charge approval is obtained for the chosen means of payment as a security. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount is dependent on the vehicle.

The full rental amount and deposit will be due upon transfer of the vehicle.

Changing booking

Changing Booking A prepaid booking can be changed up to 48 hours before the start of the rental (depending on availability) in return for a booking modification fee of 26,00 USD. Any payment already made towards the rental will not be refunded; nor shall any differential amount be refunded if this modification leads to a lesser rental cost. Any changes made to a prepaid reservation may impact the rental rate. A change from a prepaid rate to a non-prepaid rate is not possible.

Cancellation

A booking can be cancelled before the start of the rental. In the event of cancellation, the payment already made towards the rental will be paid back subject to a cancellation charge. The cancellation charge shall be the amount of the rental charge ( including any extras and charges) for a maximum of 3 rental days. Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of booking can be completed free of charge, provided the scheduled pick-up time is more than 48 hours away.

No-show

In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected or not collected at the agreed time, the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.

The Comprehensive Protection is included in the rates. It provides cover against damages to Sixt vehicles, theft of Sixt vehicles and Third Party Liabilities with a maximum cover of 6,000.00 USD for personal injuries and material damages.

All rates are inclusive of PAP.

By taking out PAP the limit of liability is 1,000,000.00 NGN for invalidity, 1,000,000.00 NGN for decease, 1,000,000.00 NGN for medical costs.

Cross Border Rentals are allowed to the following countries: Benin Republic, Ghana, Togo and other West African Countries. Please, contact the local rental station.

In case of offence against Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions all protections lose their validity.

Accessories are bookable without obligation and subject to availability.

All One-Way Rentals are on request. Please contact the local rental station.

International One-Way Rentals are not allowed.

In the case of unannounced and unauthorised one-way rentals, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee.

Child seats are available subject to a fee.

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to Sixt, otherwise the current prices per litre of petrol or diesel will be charged in addition to a refuelling fee.

If desired, the vehicle will be refuled according to currently available conditions after returning it to the station.

Mobile Phone with Local SIM card is available subject to a fee.

No Premium Location Fee for rentals at airport applies.

During travels outside the city limits a charge per night will apply.

All rates are inclusive of VAT (if VAT incurs). For corporate customers with individual agreements alternative prices and regulations can apply.
