Sixt also reserves the right to decline a rental where the renter's driver's license restricts the operation of the requested rental vehicle.
A reservation can be created for up to 365 days. Reservations of over 28 days will be processed in 28-day increments until the entire length of the reservation is fulfilled. The first rental agreement will be provided to the customer at the branch at check-out. Subsequent rental agreements will be created remotely and sent to the customer via email. The customer must review, electronically sign, and provide the vehicle's current mileage for each subsequent rental agreement.
A rental day shall consist of each consecutive 24-hour period beginning after the start time of the rental (regardless of time zones and daylight-saving times effects).
A valid email address may be required to rent a vehicle. The following email domains are not accepted:
We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/MasterCard, Discover, Visa, JCB and Airplus. Debit cards with available funds may be accepted at select locations at Sixt's sole discretion with two forms of government-issued ID, and only if one of the following conditions are met:
(1) The renter presents a return airline ticket or roundtrip itinerary upon pick-up made at least 24 hours prior to the pick-up date, that coincides with the drop-off date and location. The return flight date cannot be before the vehicle return date, and the return flight city can not be outside of the immediate area of the vehicle return city. At the time of creation for each rental agreement, SIXT will process an authorization equal to the rental agreement's gross total plus the security deposit for every rental agreement in the long-term series. SIXT will invoice each rental agreement separately at the end of the agreement's term. If any one of these authorizations fails, the customer will be required to provide a different payment method. If the customer is unreachable after three days of SIXT attempting to reach the customer via email and telephone, or is unable to provide a valid payment method, the vehicle MUST be returned to a SIXT location within 24 hours of notice or SIXT will follow Overdue process.

Other Charges and Taxes
The recovery fees reimburse Sixt for all or a portion of its expenses related to overhead costs at certain locations. These fees include the following: Airport Concession Recovery Fee / Privilege Fee Recovery Charge.
Your quoted online rate will show all applicable fees in detail on your reservation.
Customer and Rental Facility Charge
This charge is imposed by the airport authority on all rental car users on either a per transaction or per day basis. These funds are typically held in trust to pay for the financing of the building, transportation system, or operations and maintenance of the facility, as determined by the airport authority.
Transportation and Facility Fees
These third party fees are intended to compensate for joint services and uses of Transportation and Facility Management between all rental car companies on site pursuant to the Concession and Lease requirements.
Vehicle License Fee
This fee is used to cover the costs that Sixt pays for vehicle registration, license fees and related fees for a rental. It varies depending on the location.
Energy costs are a large portion of Sixt's operating expenses apart from the costs of refueling vehicles. To offset this significant cost, Sixt is imposing an Energy Surcharge. This charge is an estimate and is not intended to give a precise measure of Sixts actual energy costs incurred by each individual customer.
If you choose the flexible payment option, which does not require prepayment, this Flex Benefit allows you to change plans without paying cancellation fees. The Flex Benefit reflects the price difference between the best price and the flexible option. The exact amount can be found in the Price details section.
Those fees can either be mandatory or permitted, depending on the applicable law. Those fees vary by location. More information about those fees can be provided at the rental counter.
All prices indicated in the rental information are net prices. State, federal and local taxes apply to all rentals and charges.
*Local renters are defined as renters who pick up a rental vehicle in the state of their residence as identified by the address on their driver's license.
