What if I don't have the credit card I used to book with SIXT?

What to bring

Whether you can change your payment card depends on the rate you have chosen. With Flexi, you only pay at pick-up — simply bring a different card to the branch. With Prepaid, payment details cannot be changed as payment was taken at the time of booking.

Flexi rate — use a different card at pick-up

  • Bring the desired credit or debit card in the main driver's name to the branch

  • The branch will place the authorization on this card and charge it for the rental payment

  • The card must have sufficient available balance or credit limit for both the rental and the authorization

Prepaid rate — payment method is locked

  • At the time of booking, your payment method is charged immediately with the expected rental price (including extras and fees)

  • Driver and payment details can no longer be changed

Why the card and driver must match

SIXT verifies the card against the main driver's driver's license and ID to prevent fraud.
