Every SIXT confirmation includes the address, directions and opening hours of your SIXT branch. Open the SIXT app, select your booking and tap Open map under Branch information to start navigation. Opening hours are shown directly under Branch information.
From the airport terminal
After arrival, follow the signs for Car Rental. Most SIXT airport branches are located in the Car Rental Centre — usually 5–15 minutes on foot or via a short shuttle. You'll find the exact route in the SIXT app.
From the train station
At many larger train stations, the SIXT branch is signposted directly. At smaller stations, the branch may be nearby — the exact address and distance are shown in your confirmation and in the SIXT app.
When the branch isn't at the pick-up location itself
Some branches operate from a nearby hotel or business park. Your confirmation includes the exact address — you'll find us easily even without on-site signage.

Prepaid bookings
Prepaid reservations are held throughout the entire rental period. However, adding your flight number is the only way to guarantee your booked vehicle category and automatic protection in the event of flight delays.

Add your flight number in under a minute on the SIXT website or in the SIXT app. We'll track your flight in real time and hold your booking for up to 24 hours from your original pick-up time in case of a delay.

Open the app and select your booking
Scroll down to the Your information section
Tap Add flight number
Enter your airline code and flight number (e.g. LH1234) and confirm
On the SIXT website
Sign in and open your booking under Manage Booking
In the Arrival information missing notice, click Add flight number

No flight number to hand?
You can add your flight number any time up to pick-up. Without a flight number, the branch uses your booked pick-up time as the reference and a 60-minute grace period within the branch's opening hours applies

If you're running late, we'll hold your vehicle free of charge for up to 60 minutes from your booked pick-up time, within the branch's opening hours. If you're going to be even later, message us via Live Chat and we'll keep your vehicle ready for you.
The 60-minute grace period
From your scheduled pick-up time, we hold your vehicle for up to 60 minutes within the branch's opening hours — free of charge and without any action needed from you. This grace period is noted in your booking confirmation.
Longer delays
Message us via Live Chat with your booking reference — we'll check whether your original vehicle can still be held and, if not, offer the closest equivalent available.
With flight number (airport branches)
With your flight number on file, your booking is automatically guaranteed for up to 24 hours from your original pick-up time — we track your flight in real time. Airport branches also stay open for up to 1 hour past their closing time in case of delays
No contact = no-show
Without a message from you, your booking may be marked as a no-show once the grace period expires
With Prepaid, you can still pick up the vehicle later, provided you arrive within the originally booked rental period and during the branch's opening hours. Please let us know via Live Chat in advance

Our parking spaces are reserved entirely for our rental fleet, so private parking isn't possible at our branches — not even for the duration of your rental.
The good news: most branches have public parking nearby. Just open your pick-up location in the SIXT app or on our website to see the exact address, and check the area for parking garages or street parking. At airport and train station branches, long-term parking lots are usually just a short walk away.
