With public transportation

By Tram: All tram routes will take you to the Nottingham Station Tram Stop. From the Tram Platform, head into the Train Station. SIXT will be located on the right-hand side opposite the Station Street Entrance.

By Bus: Bus Routes/Numbers: 1, 1A, 1B,3 ,4,5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9B, 10, 10C, 10X, 11, 11C, 48 48X, 49, 49A, 49B, 49X, N4, N6, N48 all service the Nottingham Station.



From the North

Take J24, at roundabout, take 5th Exit onto Remembrance Way A453. At the next 2 roundabouts, take the 2nd exit continuing the A453. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Clifton Lane, A453. At the Farnborough Rd roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Clifton Lane A453. Use the left lane to merge onto Clifton Blvd A52. Exit onto Queens Dr A453 towards City Centre Use. the right lane to turn right onto Waterway St W, which turns slightly left and becomes Sheriffs Way. Turn Right onto Queens road. Car Park is at the Queen's Road Car Park on Level 3.



From the South

From the South: A52, which turns slightly right and becomes Derby Rd A52. Continue onto the A52 Derby Rd for approx. 2.5miles. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A453/A606 Grantham/Birmingham/Melton. Keep right and merge onto Clifton Blvd. Exit onto Queens Dr A453 towards City Centre. Use the right lane to turn right onto Waterway St W, which turns slightly left and becomes Sheriffs Way. Turn Right onto Queens road. Car Park is at the Queen's Road Car Park on Level 3.



SIXT Parking/Return

tram bridge off level 3 into the Train Station, down 1 level in the station, The car park is situated in the Queen's Road Car park. Entrance is via Queen's Road. The SIXT bays are located on Level 3 of the car park, which is the same level as the tram stop. To get to the SIXT branch, you need to head across the walk towards the platform entrance and the SIXT branch is located on the right-hand side.

Returning out of opeing hours is possible by using our parking facility in the Q-Park on Talbot Street, NG1 5GG. Enter the parking, park the vehicle in one of the spaces and leave the parking ticket inside the vehicle. Deposit the key in the white keybox located near to the SIXT branch at the entrance of the car park.

The car, a VW Polo, was great and clearly the folk at Sixt were very helpful. I wanted to insure with my own insurance provider beyond the basic insurance that one has to have, and felt I was being discouraged. I did, though, and it saved me a great deal of money. Because of its location the office at the Railway Station is easy to find. However, not knowing Nottingham too well by car I was not in the know about local petrol filling stations... a map for customers would have been extremely useful for bringing back the vehicle with a full tank. The overall experience was good, the car just the ticket and the staff very friendly.
