The Sir SeewoosagarRamgoolam airport is found in the South East coast of Mauritius, more precisely in the district Grand Port. The airport is located about 10 minutes by car from Mahebourg, one hour from Port Louis, 50 minutes from Flic en Flac and depending of the traffic situation, between 90 minutes and two hours from Grand Bay Arrival.

Our Sixt car rental counter, 7B, is situated in the arrival hall. It is after the immigration counters, the luggage claim area and the duty free shop. Also found on this level are the Tourist Information counters, foreign exchange and ATMS, hotels counters, car rental and tour operators and a restaurant. Departure Sixt Mauritius is the only car rental company which has a counter in the departure hall. The following services are available in the departure hall: bank and foreign exchange facilities, restaurant, check in counters. After the immigration facilities are found the MCCI counter for vat refunds, duty free shop, the VIP lounge and a restaurant.

Places of interest in the vicinity in Grand Port district Les Huiles Essentielles: There is a distillery of about 20 varieties of essential oils as well as perfumes and handicrafts found at AnseJonchée National History Musuem: Located in a French colonial mansion belonging to the De Robillard family, this museum has great historical value. Blue Bay Public Beach: closest public beach about 10 minutes drive from Mahebourg Ile aux Aigrettes: solely inhabited by animals, protected by the Mauritius Wildlife foundation, whose mission is to protect endemic plants, birds and flowers. Large turtles roam freely round the island. Tour guides are available to answer all the questions one might have. Ferney Valley: the Valley is a natural reserve inside one of the last indigenous forests in Mauritius. A two hour walk is accessible to people and will give you a real taste of nature in a unique site with gorgeous views on a mixed landscape.
