Driving further north you can arrive at Domaine de Chantilly, a special place to come closer to the cultural heritage of France. Situated in the Ermenonville Forest, the Chaalis Royal Abbey makes for a great day trip. The former abbey is now home to the Musée Jacquemart-André art museum which houses an impressive collection paintings, furniture and decorative art.
