Speed Up your journey with Online Check-in
Online check-in makes business travel faster and easier – because we know you have no time to waste. Skip the time-consuming administrative process at the rental counter. Once you've successfully checked in online, you can pre-select your rental car digitally via the SIXT app or mobile web at many SIXT locations, saving valuable time. Show your QR code to a SIXT employee or scan it at the key box, collect your keys, and you’re on your way. If digital vehicle selection is available for your booking, we’ll notify you 1 to 2 hours before pickup.
Great – you’re ready to go. Book your rental car via the SIXT website or app, and make sure your corporate discount is applied through your profile number linked to your company. You’ll receive an invitation to check in online, or you can use this link. If you book through a third party such as a travel agency or online booking tool, be sure to enter your SIXT business profile number.
You can still check in online even without a SIXT business profile – via the link in your booking confirmation, the follow-up email, or simply by clicking this link.
However, we recommend creating a SIXT business profile. Your company must be registered for a SIXT business account. Ask your internal contact responsible for car rentals to send you a personal registration link. Open the link, enter your personal details, set a password, and complete the setup. If digital vehicle selection is available for your upcoming rental, you’ll receive an invitation by email. After scanning the QR code, the SIXT app will open (if installed), or you can proceed in the mobile web. Scan your driver’s license and take a selfie – validation happens in real time. About 1–2 hours before pickup, you can select your preferred vehicle from the available fleet. You can also book extras and insurance coverage. Depending on the station, you’ll access your key via the QR code at the key box, at a special counter, or the key will already be in the vehicle (e.g., in the US). Detailed handover instructions and directions will be provided at the end of the process.
