The SIXT app gives you service area maps, account management, booking profiles, vehicle filters, and the Car Radar — all in one place. Here's how each feature works.
Each SIXT product has its own service area, shown as a red boundary line on the in-app map. Tap any SIXT share vehicle to see its service area. You must end your rental within this boundary — ending outside it is not possible.
You can also view service area maps on the city page for your location on the SIXT website. Note that service areas differ by product; tap the relevant product to display its specific area.
Tap the person icon in the top-right corner of the app to access your account. From there you can manage your payment method, vouchers, and personal details. Full instructions for updating this information are in the \"My Account\" section.
A Booking Profile stores your payment method, billing address, and email address, so you can control where invoices are sent and which payment method is charged for each trip.
If you have more than one profile, find them at the bottom of the map view (just above the filter bar) in the app. Tap \"Booking Profile\" and select the one you want to use.
Yes — you can filter by provider, vehicle type, manufacturer, and more using the filter function in the app.
Car Radar searches for a vehicle that matches your filter settings, up to 10 days ahead of when you need it. It's available for SIXT share vehicles only — not for partner services such as EMMY
In the Share tab, tap the three dots in the top-right corner and select \"Car Radar.\"
Set your desired location on the map and choose the date and time you need the vehicle.
Tap \"Save Radar.\"
Car Radar activates at your chosen start time and searches for 1 hour within a 500-meter radius of your address.
When a match is found, it's automatically reserved for you — free of charge — for 15 minutes, and you'll receive a push notification (requires notifications to be enabled).
Tap \"Configure rental\" to adjust the booking to your needs. The €30 security hold will be updated and reauthorized if needed, depending on your selected rate.
If multiple customers search for the same time and location using Car Radar, reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
