parties involved are unharmed. If not, please contact the emergency services first.\n\n'- In the event of an accident or damage event, the following things need to be done:\n'- In principle, every accident or damage event must be reported to the police immediately, regardless of whether it was caused by you or a third party, and even if no third party was involved.\n'- As a renter, you are obliged to ensure that SIXT receives all the information necessary to assess the incident.\n'- Therefore, contact the SIXT share customer service (link to https://www.sixt.com/share/contacts/#/) by phone on site and do not leave before doing so.\n'- The rental also ends in the event of an accident or damage event only upon return of the vehicle. If the vehicle is no longer roadworthy, the rental will end upon agreement with customer service when transferring it to the towing \n    company.\n'- Send your written accident report or the completed SIXT damage form - preferably with photos of all damages and the location of the incident - to SIXT share customer service. Please make sure to provide us with the police file \n    number.\n\nPlease refer to our terms and conditions (link to https://www.sixt.de/pages/agb/) for detailed procedures in case of an accident or damage event.\n\n What is the deductible in case of an accident?\nThe current valid minute/hour/daily rates of a SIXT share vehicle already include comprehensive and theft insurance, with a deductible of €950 per damage. You can reduce the deductible by adding the corresponding protection option in the SIXT app. More information about our protection options can be found on our rate page, and the currently applicable price for the protection option for the selected vehicle can be seen in the SIXT app at the time of reservation. We recommend the comprehensive and theft insurance with reduced deductible, which helps you avoid a high financial burden in case of damage. The comprehensive and theft insurance covers accident damages that you cause to the rental car. Likewise, the included theft protection covers you in case of car theft. Without comprehensive and theft insurance, you are liable for vehicle damages up to the full value of the vehicle plus any other recoverable damages (e.g. depreciation, expert costs, etc.) if these damages are not demonstrably caused by third parties. The comprehensive insurance for accident damages can be reduced or canceled in case of grossly negligent or intentional damage causation, as well as in case of grossly negligent or intentional breach of contractual obligations."}}
