This is the only way we can plan the appropriate service and maintenance intervals. Many of our vehicles are therefore equipped with a telematics interface, which automatically reports the mileage.
If your vehicle does not yet support automated reporting, you will receive a monthly notification via email and will need to report your mileage each month. It’s very simple and completely digital - it takes less than a minute:
Log in to your customer account online or in the SIXT app and navigate to the Car Subscription section to open your subscription
Enter the vehicle’s current mileage in the “Manage Mileage” section
You can view an overview of your booked mileage package, accumulated mileage budget in the Mileage Vault, and monthly usage at any time in the SIXT app under “Manage Mileage.”
The selected mileage package always applies to a 30-day billing period. The mileage you’ve driven is deducted from your available mileage on a monthly basis.
Unused mileage is stored in your mileage vault, allowing you to build up a mileage balance that you can use throughout the term of your subscription.
If you ever drive more than your monthly mileage allowance, our system checks whether you still have mileage credit in your vault. Only if there aren’t enough miles left in your vault will you be charged for additional miles. The price per extra mile varies depending on the vehicle model and can be viewed for your subscription in your online account or in the app.
To stay flexible, you can adjust your mileage package at any time during your subscription term, whether you need more or fewer miles. The change takes effect immediately starting the current month.
In the SIXT app, go to the view of your active subscription and select “Manage Mileage” > “Adjust Mileage Package”
