Terms and conditions
Velocity Standard T&Cs
In Australia the Points earn rate is based on the base rental cost of the vehicle. Silver, Gold and Platinum members earn tier bonus Points on top of the base Points earned depending on their membership status. For reservations within Australia and New Zealand, as a Red member you will earn 3 Points per $1 spent; as a Silver member you will earn a total of 4.5 Points per $1 spent; as a Gold member you will earn a total of 5.25 Points per $1 spent; and as a Platinum member you will earn a total of 6 Points per $1 spent.
Members will not earn Points for rentals on prepaid bookings (Pay now option), Van & Truck rentals, wholesale rates, staff and industry rates, rentals with a value below € 25 or equivalent in local currency, restricted rate plans that SIXT has entered into with third parties (SIXT Products only) (except for any third party which has been nominated by Velocity or Virgin Australia to provide car rental services for Velocity or Virgin Australia operated channels or websites), long-term rates (ie. rentals longer than 28 consecutive days), some corporate rates defined by each company and their individual corporate contracts, damage liability cover, optional insurance, vehicle registration fee, premium location fee, admin fee, taxes, GST, one-way fees, age surcharges, additional driver fees and equipment such ski racks, baby/booster seats or GPS rental costs. Please note that not all car types will be available. Velocity Membership and points earned is subject to the Velocity Membership Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time. All car rentals are governed by SIXT’s standard Terms and Conditions.
