Driving Directions from Denver to Phoenix

Traveling from Denver to Phoenix is straightforward. There are at least a couple of options of routes to take, but the fastest takes you through Utah and Arizona, while the other goes through New Mexico. After picking up your one-way car rental at Denver Airport, take I-25 S and then I-70 W. This interstate will take you into Utah where you will then take the highway south at Thompson Springs. At Flagstaff, AZ you will merge onto I-17 S to Phoenix. The drive takes you through the national forests of western Colorado, the beauty of Moab, Utah, and the desert landscape outside Phoenix. There should be gas stations and food options along the way but be sure to top up your gas tank before traveling through more remote stretches along the highway in Utah and Arizona.
