Drive from Denver to Los Angeles with a One-Way Car Rental

Your drive from Colorado to southern California will take you through diverse landscapes and iconic cities. The first part of the drive will involve going through mountainous areas. If you plan to drive this route between October and April, you should consider renting a vehicle like an SUV or another with four-wheel-drive. You should also consider adding winter equipment to your rental, if available, as well as roadside protection. We also have a variety of vehicle categories including economy cars, convertibles, sports cars, and luxury sedans. Not all SIXT vehicles are available for one-way rentals.

Driving Directions from Denver to Los Angeles

The route between the two cities is easy. After picking up your one-way car rental at our Denver International Airport station, take I-25 S for 2 miles and then get onto I-70 W. You stay on this interstate until it merges with I-15 S toward Las Vegas in Utah. On your drive, you will pass through Colorado then drive south through Utah before passing through Las Vegas and southern Nevada before getting to California. There should be gas stations and food options along the way but in some parts of Utah and the area just across the California border are more remote.
