all-season tire equipped vehicles will allow you to feel safe and secure while navigating winter conditions. Unfortunately, it&#39;s not possible to book snow tires as an extra in the US:<br><br>Winter tires are available in Europe and so make sure you&#39;re prepared for snow and ice by them for your rental vehicle. To add winter tires to your rental, simply select the option after you have chosen your ideal car category. The total price will be shown and updated automatically.</p>\n\n<h2><br>How can I book winter &amp; snow tires?</h2>\n \n\n<h3>In the US</h3>\n\n<p>In the US, all SIXT rent a car vehicles are equipped with all-season tires so that you are safe during the winter months. If you&#39;re heading to a ski resort or an area that will likely have snowy weather, we recommend that you choose a vehicle with 4WD. Our helpful in-branch staff can also advise on what would be the best choice for your trip.</p>\n\n<h3><br>In Europe</h3>\n\n<p>Unlike other extras, snow tires come as standard* in countries where they are required either by law or due to the winter driving conditions. When selecting your car online, you can see in the vehicle details if they are included or not. If they are not already on the car, please request them from our staff we will be sure to meet your needs.</p>\n\n<address>*Subject to availability. Not available in the US.</address>\n\n<p><br>In <b>Germany and Austria</b>, winter tires are required by law during the snowy season. During this period, your SIXT car rental with automatically come equipped with winter tires at no additional cost.<br><br>In <b>France and Switzerland</b>, winter tires are not required by law. However, they could be very useful if you’re planning on visiting the Alps or going on a ski trip. After entering your desired pick-up location and dates, you will see which of our rental vehicles in Switzerland and France are available with snow tires and the price per day.
