Why was I billed for a citation/toll that I have already paid to the issuing authority?

If you believe you have been incorrectly charged and have already paid for the citation/toll crossing, please send your confirmation of payment to fines-us@sixt.com for tolls. 

\n

For traffic citations please send your confirmation of payment to violations@sixt.com. 

\n

A Traffic & Tolls agent will review your documentation and respond to you within 2 business days. 

\n

Why are you charging me an administrative fee?  

\n

An administrative fee is assessed for the processing and administration of all tolls not covered by one of our toll services and/or traffic/parking violations received by our office. 

\n

Why am I receiving multiple citation/toll invoices for the same rental period?  

\n

We rely on the toll authorities and parking/traffic agencies to provide us with information about tolls and other violations. Because of this, we can only notify you of the tolls and/or violations as we receive them. 

\n

 

\n

Where can I get a copy of my citation/toll invoice?  

\n

All invoices are sent to the email address on file within 24 hours of the charge. Please check your spam folder as it is common for these emails to route there instead of your inbox. If you are unable to locate the email, please send your request to fines-us@sixt.com for tolls or violations@sixt.com for traffic citations.

Why am I being billed for tolls if I used my personal transponder?  

\n

If you have been billed for tolls by SIXT and you used your personal transponder during the rental, please send a copy of your activity statement and vehicle registration page to fines-us@sixt.com. A Traffic & Tolls agent will review your documentation and respond to you.
