What do I need to rent a luxury or specialty vehicle?

Premium and luxury vehicles have a higher authorization or deposit amount and almost always require a major credit card for rental.

The higher authorization amount by category is shown below.
  • Vehicle category: GFAR, PCAR, PFAR, PTAR, LCAR, LDAR, LFAR, LTAR Authorization/deposit: $500, or Rental amount + $200, whichever is higher.
  • Vehicle category: XCAR, XCAV, XDAV, XFAR, XFAV, XTAN, XFAZ, XTAR Authorization/deposit: $1,000, or Rental amount + $200, whichever is higher.
  • Vehicle category: XDAR, XZAN, XFAN, XJAN, XSAJ, XTAJ, XTAM Authorization/deposit: $2,500, or Rental amount + $200, whichever is higher.
