3. What type of Sixt Express cards are available?

4. How can I apply for a Sixt Express card?

An Express Sixt Card will be automatically sent out to you, once your first rental with Sixt has been completed.

5. Where can I use the Express Sixt Card or any of the loyalty cards?

They can be used in as many as 75 countries worldwide.

6. How much does an Express Sixt Card or any of the loyalty cards cost?

All Sixt cards are free of charge and very easy to use.

7. What discounts or benefits does the Express Sixt Card offer?

The benefit for you as the customer is that we will have your relevant details on record, which will enable us to speed up the checking in process at the start of your rental, meaning:

  • No rental formalities, your personal data is stored behind the card.
  • Minimal waiting time at the arrival location and easy payment (your stored credit card details on the card).
  • Collectable miles with our Airline Partners.
  • Collectable points with our Hotel Partners.

The Express Sixt Card does not offer any discounts or upgrade, however if you have a membership with one of our Partner programs, then you may receive a discount of up to 10%.

8. When am I entitled to an upgraded card / membership and what are the benefits?

A basic Express Sixt Card would be upgraded to a Gold card after 3 rentals within a 12-month period for U.S. residents and 5 rentals for other countries.A Gold Sixt Card would be upgraded to a Platinum Sixt Card as follows:

  • After 10 rentals in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Spain, UK or USA  = You will be automatically upgraded to a Platinum Card.
  • After 20 rentals in Austria, Germany or Switzerland = You will be automatically be upgraded to a Platinum Card.

Where you have membership status with a certain Airline or Hotel chain, you can obtain your Gold Sixt Card status online, when providing the membership number.** Customers outside the US can attain a Gold status after 5 rentals in one year.  For information on benefits please visit our dedicated page.

9. How can I apply the Diamond Sixt Card?

The Diamond Card is by invitation only.
