How can I obtain a copy of my Invoice/Receipt?
At Sixt, you can view and obtain copies of your past rental invoices up to six months from the return of your rental by logging in to your My SIXT account. For recent returns, please allow up to 3 business days from date of vehicle return for a copy of the rental receipt to be available. If you require a copy of an invoice older than 6 months, then you may send an email to email@example.com to request a copy from our Customer Service specialists.

How soon is my security hold released?
When using a Credit Card:
- Upon pick-up an authorization for the full amount of the rental and the security hold will be processed. Upon the return of the rental Sixt will release the security hold within 24 business hours and only charge your card the full amount of the rental.
- Note: depending on your banking institution it can take 3 to 10 business days for the hold to be released from your account.
When using a Debit Card:
- Upon the pick-up of your rental, the full amount of the rental and the security hold is charged to your bank account. Upon the return of your rental, Sixt will refund the security hold within 24 business hours.
- Note: depending on your banking institution it can take up to 5-15 business days for your credit to appear on the account.
Why did I not receive the full amount of my security hold?
If you did not receive the full amount of the security hold, then your rental price did not cover all charges incurred during your rental.
When you return your vehicle, a final audit will be conducted to determine whether there are additional charges that were not paid as part of the rental price. An example such charges may include fuel replacement, a late return (beyond our 30-minute grace period), and/or a special cleaning. In this case the returned amount of the security hold will be less.
