Sixt have been billed me for 1 extra day and 7 kilometres more than actually used. Returned car Saturday evening. Recorded time shows car received Monday morning!! Took photo of odometer when about to lock car in after hours Adlershof garage. Bill shows 7 kilometres more! Many people have complained about this type of error by Sixt. This is still happening, so Sixt must be enjoying this because they seemed to have failed to find out why this is happening. Corrupt or incompetent employees???? I have notified Sixt of this 105 EUR overcharge 3 days ago. No reply as yet. Obviously more corrupt and incompetent employees have read my email sent to 3 different departments!!!
Update 1 week later. I love the standard reply below. I had immediately written to your email address. I have given you all the details as you requested. NOW, this morning I received another standard email quoting the same invoice. Oh, and the standard ending on the email that you look forward to me again!!! How incredibly incompetent are you all at Sixt!!! Everyone I can only say give Sixt a wide birth, choose some other car rental company. That is my honest recommendation.
Update 2. No reply from emails after several days. I paid for international phone calls to the German depot. First call rectified the problem partly. Second call to the same Germany number resulted in my call going to a Philippine call centre. No disrespect to Filipinos, but Sixt has basically made them a human answering machine, with a limit of 6 scripted answers, no deviation. This obviously gave me such confidence.......?
A week later and now have full refund.
So, an extra star. This sort of error should not happen and then you have to take your time and money to chase this error.
The staff at pick-up were very helpful especially Fabian. The car was very good. It was the second option given that could be provided. 2 stars more for these positives.
