If you need a car rental in the Gambia, let us help you customize it to meet your needs. If you plan to stay in Banjul or Serekunda, rent one of our sedans to better fit the urban setting. If your trip includes a visit to another part of the country to see some of its diverse wildlife, an SUV might be a more comfortable option. Then add extra protection or child seats to your rental. We also offer the option of a driver service add-on, available during limited hours and days. Best Places to Visit in the Gambia

  • Banjul: The capital city sits on an island at the meeting point of the Gambia River and the Atlantic Ocean. Visit Albert Market for a taste of the country or Arch 22, marking the government coup in 1994.
  • Serekunda: What was once a collection of villages is now a major urban area. Visit the beaches in Bakau, Abuko Nature Reserve to see monkeys and crocodiles, or the craft market where locals sell their wares.
  • Kunta Kinteh Island: This small island in the Gambia River is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has a historical significance in trading, both of goods and slaves. You can also see the remains of a fort and other buildings.

TIPS FOR THE GAMBIA IN SUMMER 2020

Temperatures stay constant year-round, in the mid-80s on average. In the summer you will encounter fewer tourists, and there might be some brief tropical storms and rain. Beaches are always a good choice, and Cape Point, Bakau, Kololi and Kotu Beach are just some of your options. Go to one of the Gambia’s many places to see nature like Kiang West National Park or Bao Bolong Wetland Reserve. Note that if Ramadan takes place during your summer visit, businesses may be closed during the day.
