Status match
If you have a loyalty status with your previous mobility provider, we will match it with the corresponding SIXT status. Please send an e-mail to insidesales-us@sixt.com with proof of your existing status and your new SIXT ID.

Return process
You can return your vehicle at any time by simply dropping the key into one of our 24/7 return safes. The exact return time is securely recorded via an RFID tag. For vehicle returns at the Texas Instruments location, the vehicle must be reported back to corporate-us@sixt.com at the time of return.

Damage handling
With SIXT, you will receive transparent damage documentation.
For damage in the US:
Please record any damage that was not documented by SIXT upon vehicle delivery with a photo and report it by email to claimsmanagement-usa@sixt.com.
In case of a damage during the rental, please contact the police and our SIXT assistance line at +1-888-749-8543 or claimsmanagement-usa@sixt.com.
For damage in Germany:
Please record any damage that was not documented by SIXT upon vehicle delivery with a photo and report it by email to schaden@sixt.com.

Please note to only place bookings via your Online booking tool or your travel agency and to consider the Texas Instruments travel policy.
Before doing so, create your own SIXT Business Profile by clicking here and store your Profile ID in your Online booking tool / travel agency. You can find a step by step user guide for profile registration by clicking here.
Enter your flight or train number at booking so SIXT can track your arrival in real time. If possible, contact the pick-up station directly to confirm a new arrival time.
Your SIXT rental car invoice or receipt (with credit card payment) can be viewed in your SIXT profile on the SIXT website. You can also request a copy when you are logged in and print your e-invoice/e-receipt.
Please note that copies are only available online 48 hours after drop-off.
The lessee is liable for all costs and fees occurring in connection with traffic offences according to the General Terms and Conditions. SIXT transmits the driver’s data to the requesting authority.
Furthermore, an administration fee occurs. The fine is not included in this administration fee and has to be paid directly to the issuing authority.
To evade fines, please inform yourself about traffic and parking rules in the countries you use your SIXT rental car.
If your travel management allows it, you can add a SIXT breakdown/mobility service during the reservation. This enhanced breakdown service protects you from the high service and repair costs associated with self-induced events, such as an empty fuel tank, a lost key, or a broken-down car, on national and international territory.
You can find the contact details of the breakdown service on the SIXT website or in your SIXT rental car.
You can add drivers to your rental contract by showing their driving licenses. If the additional driver is not present during pick-up, you can go to any SIXT branch to add them to the rental contract. Alternatively you can show their original driving license document at pick-up.
If all of this is not possible, the lessee is solely responsible for the additional driver to be authorized to drive the vehicle. The rental contract does not need to be amended in this case. This scenario is only applicable if the additional driver is also an employee of the lessee’s company.
SIXT recommends entering the additional driver in the rental agreement to comply with all regulations in case of damage or traffic fines.

Yes, cross-border travel is permitted with restrictions based on vehicle type and destination country.

Toll payment methods vary by country. Some use traditional toll booths (cash/card), while others use electronic free-flow systems. Ask at pickup if your vehicle has electronic toll equipment. Electronic tolls are typically billed automatically to your payment method and appear on your final invoice.
When renting an EV, you'll receive details on battery level, expected range, charging speed, cable availability, and charging card access.

SIXT offers delivery and collection services at selected local stations with distance-based fees.
Delivery: Delivery is booked as an additional service together with the car reservation. SIXT delivers the rental car at the agreed time and place and hands over the keys against signature on the rental agreement.
Collection: The customer informs SIXT by phone, email or via the SIXT app when the car is ready for pick-up. A SIXT employee collects the car from the agreed location, returns it to the branch, and the rental ends once SIXT is informed of the return.
Online Check-in speeds up your business trips - if your reservation is eligible for Online Check-in, you will receive an email invite after booking.
This allows you to choose your vehicle in the app or on the mobile website!
Simply show your QR code to the SIXT employee or at the key box, collect your keys - and off you go!
