Parking and traffic violation payments

Who is responsible for parking tickets and traffic violations?

The renter of the vehicle is solely responsible for any parking citations and/or traffic violations incurred during their rental period. All customers should pay their citations and/or traffic violations immediately to avoid additional fees. If a parking citation and/or traffic violation is received by our office, the customer is responsible for the citation amount plus an administrative fee. 

Costs for traffic offenses

If you have been speeding or parked incorrectly, you are liable for all costs and fees incurred in connection with traffic and administrative offenses. SIXT also charges a lump-sum fee in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions.
