Welcome to Gliwice! The Sixt Gliwice downtown branch is located in the close centre on the road DK 88, towards the Tarnowskie Góry.

The perfect location makes everything so easy, we can reach the centre of historic city and get to the highway which is leading to the next branch of Sixt, at the Airport in Pyrzowice (in a distance of about 40 kilometres from Sixt Gliwice downtown branch).

  • 13.03.2012- Gliwice!

    Gliwice is situated in south-western Poland, in the western part of Silesia, on the river Klodnica. As one of 17 biggest cities in Poland included in the Metropolitan Silesia, the largest urbanorganism in this part of Europe.

    The academic character of the town is a merit of the Silesian University, one of the largest technical universities in Poland, Gliwice Business School offers vocational education at directions of economic and humanities, and Teachers College of Foreign Languages. In Gliwice, there are also the Polish Academy of Sciences and also Institute of Oncology.

    In Gliwice is the largest of the four sub-zones of the Katowice Special Economic Zone. Their factories have located here include representatives automotive, chemicals and logistics (ex.General Motors, Lidl, Mecalux, Martifer, TRW, Saint-Gobain).

    Convenient location for transport to the merit of existing and construction of road connections. Within the town cross the A4 motorway and the A1, comfortable connection with the neighboring towns provide roads DK 88 (direction Opole - Bytom) DK 901 (the direction of Poznan), DK 79 (direction Rybnik, Chalupki), DK 44(direction Mikolow, Skoczow, Cieszyn).

    In the southern part of Gliwice (2 km from the center) is a sport airport, serving light passenger aircraft, and just 43 km from the city is the Katowice International Airport.

    The symbol of the city is Gliwice Radio Station, 110-meter tower with larch wood around which arranged the perfect place for recreation. In the evening you canenjoy magnificent illumination - the tower flashes colored lights.

    Its residents and visitors to the city Gliwice provide guests with a wide range of recreational and cultural activities. Particularly noteworthy are numerous green areas and a refurbished Palm House City. In the four pavilions, the Palm House with over 5,600 plants, the oldest of which are over 100 years.

    For guests and residents is Gliwice Musical Theatre, as well as cinemas, galleries, clubs, the oldest museum in Silesia and the ruins of the Municipal Theatre.

    April 2 launched online registration of candidates to the fourth edition. They are looking for girls who have a personality, outstanding character and want to spend the best weeks of his life.     They talked about this a long time, now a big office building a reality. In the area of the Huta Gliwice shopping center was built Focus Mall, but the investor pulled out of the idea.
