    The province of Mendoza, is an important tourist center in Argentina. With over 1.5 million inhabitants, it is the fourth most populated province of Argentina. Mendoza has three distinct geographical structures: the Andes Mountains towards the west, east plains and plateaus on the east, and mountains and volcanoes towards the south. The scarcity of rainfall and temperature range forms an arid zone, only interrupted by the oasis formed along rivers that originate in the Andes. The city of Mendoza is located at the foot of the Andes Mountains and has a grove of more than 50,000 trees by a complex irrigation system. It is known worldwide for its excellent wines Malbec. Since 2005 is part of "Great Wine Capitals Global Network", and it is considered the 8th world capital of wine. The "Harvest Festival" celebrates the grape harvest in March.
